It can't be, it isn't and that is not what the 95th percentile means.Physician wrote:gvz wrote:Physician,
It seems odd you would have a consistent leak at 7.2 no matter what mask type, in the absence of any known defect in the machine. In my own scenario with oxygen bleed-in adapter, if I do not run the O2 concentrator but leave the rig plugged in, my S9 + ResScan will show a solid/consistent leak at appx 3.5.
I would say, look for leaks in the hose or other connections. I could be wrong of course, and probably am wrong.
Thank you. There is absolutely no leaks anywhere.
Using ResScan software, I checked the past few nights of graphs and cannot see why the LCD display shows 7.2 every night. The graphs show almost no leaking, but just two short spikes in the 7.5 to 10 range and only for under five minutes each. Is the LCD reporting the peaks in the 95th percentile ? It certainly can't be that this is my leak value 95% of the time.
If 7.2 if your 95th percentile leak, it means you have larger leaks only only 5% of the time. For the other 95% of the time your leak rate is lower. Could be 0 for most of that time just as well. I would no be concerned about that leak rate at all.
Try to check the data on the screen afte you've had your shower, coffee, etc. in the morning. The machine needs time to do all the recalculations after you've turn it off -- you may be checking too soon after you've taken the mask off. But do it before noon.
No one in the thread answered how I can post these graphs here.
I'll see if a "Sleep Doctor" is available, but it's usually weeks to months before an appointment.[/quote]
