Periodic Breathing more than 20 %

Post by Mask2sleep » Sun Oct 31, 2010 1:41 pm

If my machine is to be belived, since going up to 16/9 pressure, I have an average AHI of 54 and periodic breathing of 23%. 16/9 is my new prescribed pressure, I was at 11/7 with a average AHI of 24 or so and 3 % periodic breathing.

I have an appointment with my doctor on Thursday and I am going to bring this to his attention and ask that the pressure be changed, oxygen added, or something, as 16/9 is apparently doing worse for me than 11/7 was.

My question for y'all is, as an opinion, should I even be using this thing through Thursday? 23 % periodic breathing seems like a big deal to me, even if it is averaged.

I would continue to use it. Collect data from several nights to show a consistent pattern. But if you get too tired you may want to revert to your previous prescription.
