Heated hose Development

Id be very careful with the Brinks Model 44-1070. I have gone through 3 of them now. With this one I was sitting and watching TV and the lamp I had plugged into it started dimming down and up down and up. I went over to see what the problem was and the brinks unit was melting down and smoking like a train. I immediately unplugged the unit. It is still very hot and smells awful. The battery is still running too even after melting a hole in the bottom and nearly through the side. Its a damn good thing I was home or I might be calling my insurance guy tomorrow instead of Brinks. Just a fair warning.
