Hello, everyone. I've been using a CPAP since June 18, 2010. My machine is set on 6. I started with a Profile Lite mask, which did not fit me well--rubbed the bridge of my nose and below my nose totally raw, like blisters. The technician said I am hard to fit because my face is small. I changed to ComfortClassic on June 28, which at first seemed good, but over the last month I have started having a lot of trouble. I'm waking up at night again, taking the thing off partway through the night and sleeping without it; my husband says I'm snoring again and has to go sleep on the couch. The problem seems to be that the mask shifts and presses against the bottom of my lower eyelid on one side, and it has started leaking a little around the edge of my cheek on the other side. Is the mask wearing out, or am I doing something wrong? I also have trouble getting the hose situated so that it doesn't bother me. I tried looping it up over the headboard of the bed, but it makes a lot of noise when I move and the ribs of the tubing pull across the wood of the headboard. The last week or so I've tried anchoring the tubing with the top of my pillow, but it keeps pulling from one side to another as I move around, thus pulling the mask to the side and making it leak, etc.
My situation is complicated by the fact that I have chronic myofascial pain, so if I don't sleep well my pain level goes way up. Being in Hungary there are not the same options that there are in the States, so I'm not sure what to do. The place where I got my machine and mask don't have a lot of options, and if I order something it will most likely be a problem if it doesn't work well for me.
Any encouragement or ideas would be welcome!

Have you considered trying a nasal pillow mask? You might find this far more comfortable. Your pressure setting is very low.... I wonder if that is contributing to your snoring in that you might not be getting enough pressure to open the airway properly. I am not familiar with your machine so I can't say how you might change the pressure settings. If you know how or can get your medical contact to help you (not sure who handles this in Europe... doctor, RT, ??) change the setting a bit. I had lots of snores and when I made an adjustment the snores went away and my results improved.
Is your machine fully data capable? If so, do you have the software to read your efficacy data? This would help you to see what is happening during sleep.
Get or make a hose cosy to stop the noise of the tubing as it moves across the headboard. I have one and it makes the hose glide.... no noise at all! Here is an example, but I am sure you can find similar products in Europe: https://www.cpap.com/productpage/snuggl ... cover.html If you can't find it in Hungary, cpap.com does ship internationally, but you need to ask them about charges for that. Making on might be an easier solution.

Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

If your face is that small... what about a kid's mask? Plus some of the masks come in extra small.
