Encore Viewer question

Post by danimal71 » Wed Oct 13, 2010 1:03 pm

I just received the FedEx tracking email stating that the software arrived at my house. For those of you with experience with it what would be the main things I would want to look at first? When I ordered it and saw the brief product information on it that there is supposed to be a lot of detailed information that it will give and would like to dive right in but know what to look for. Also is the information exportable into Excel? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I have a data tutorial herehttp://maskarrayed.wordpress.com/2010/0 ... -tutorial/ that answers your questions and gives you some examples to look at.

Leak data is helpful--if you are leaking the rest of the data will be skewed (though I am recently coming to doubt that the leak data the System One gives is reliable at all), and then you can compare your events to changes in pressure (on APAP) to see how things are being managed.

The software does not give you much viewing flexibility. All you can do is generate a report for any 7 day period you choose, and--along with detailed reports of those seven days--you get a lot of compliance data (fairly useless--I'm sure you know if you are using the machine or not and for how long) and summary data from the beginning of your use of the machine.

It's pretty self-explanatory, but if you do have questions feel free to ask.

Janknitz - Thanks. I will check that out. I have been to your site before but don't remember seeing that. I will definitely check it out.

Here's my data from the last few days. How is this data? My AHI on my original titration was 11. I am going to request my test results from the Dr's office.

With the exception of last night your AHI's are not reliable if you are having large leaks like that--those are BIG large leaks because it takes a LOT to register on the machine.

You need to get control of those leaks.

How does it determine what a large leak is? Is the type of mask input into the machine? If so then it really isn't reliable as I was using the nasal mask 3 out of those 5 days. Funny...the dme told me the AVG that is showing on the machine isn't a bad number when i was complaining about the mask. <---- That last statement was meant to show how what people around here say about DME's not caring appears to be true.
