Help me understand results and terminology
This is the report from my original sleep study in 2008, I was unable to continue therapy and quit after 6 months. I had a new study in September, but basically they tested me with a mask and cpap all night to re titrate. I am determined this time to not give up. Please help me understand the terminology and results from my test. Hope you can read it.

Re: Help me understand results and terminology
Sorry, I think it might be too difficult to read. I was trying to get a clear uploaded pic, but I think I'm doing something wrong because my copy is very clear until I scan it.

Re: Help me understand results and terminology
I can take a whack at some of those numbers, but you know the disclaimer: I am not a doctor. I'll try to transcribe what I can so that those who are more knowledgeable can give more information too.
Respiratory Arousals: Count 100 Index 18.6
This means you had 100 respiratory events during the study period, or an average of 18.6 per hour. I believe this is considered "moderate" since it falls in the 5-30 range.
Snore Arousals: Count 16 Index 3.0
Spontaneous Arousals: Count 23 Index 4.3
PLM Arousals: Count 55 (?) Index 6.1
Periodic Leg Movement arousals. I don't know what the normal numbers are for this, but I guess higher numbers might indicate something like Restless Leg Syndrome. I didn't have any of these in my sleep study, so I don't know much about the topic.
A/H Index: Supine 21.5 (?) Non-Supine 23.1 Total 22.0
This is the Apnea/Hypopnea index in different positions. Your apnea doesn't seem to be positional, judging by this.
Total A+H: Supine 81 Non-Supine 37 Total 118
Obstructive Apnea: Supine 35 Non-Supine 5 Total 40
Hypopnea: Supine 46 Non-supine 32 Total 78
REM A+H: Supine 30 (?) Non-supine 0 Total 30
Min O2 Saturation: Wake 88 REM 83 NREM 81.8 Total 81
Max O2 Saturation: Wake 99 REM 97 NREM 98.4 Total 99
Time @ 90%-100%: Wake 155 REM 14 NREM 294 Total 465
Time @ 80%-89%: Wake 0 REM 2 NREM 11 Total 13
Mean SaO2: 94.6%
Respiratory Event Duration
NREM (sec.): shortest 10 longest 14 Average 11
REM (sec.): shortest 10 longest 13 Average 12
Desaturation
NREM: 80-89% 22 90-94% 39(?)
REM: 80-89% 10 90-94% 0
Periodic Movements of Sleep
Number of Periodic Leg Mvts 39
Periodic Mvts w./Arousals 33
Periodic Mvt. index (per hour/sleep) 7.3
Periodic Mvt. Arousal Index (per hour/sleep) 6.1
Isolated Leg Movements 9
I hope this helps a little.
