I would not wait 6 months. People laugh when I tell them I vacuum the foam filter but replace the white filters about once a month or when you can see a change. IF you can see a change it is prob past time to change it out. I get the impression DME's don't make much on filters. Mine told me the white one was still usable when I showed him the change in colors.....yuck.
Apria once gave me a machine without any filters at all in the machine. Yea that's another story.
Question - If you are washing your mask (or humidifier) everyday, how long do you wait to change the filters?
