Sleep Therapy Providers in Austin, TX ?
Re: Sleep Therapy Providers in Austin, TX ?
Can't say I'm happy with Total Sleep.
They are in it for the money only, the office is super lo-rent type place and
they still charge me $$ every month as if my insurance is not paying them.
I at least managed to get a machine that has data capability, wish I knew about APAP
before getting it, I have problems with leaks and need pressure change from sleeping on
my back and then rolling to the side. The APAP's can also reduce pressure to get a mask or lip reseal.
They also would not let me see my data reports and would not provide or even sell me Encore reader software.

I'm looking because I had the same experience with them. Zero follow-up in nearly two years. Billed my insurance company $4600 rent over 6 months for a machine that sells for $800 retail. When I picked up my Resmed Elite II S8 there, on Dec 24, 2008, the tech handed me the S8 machine kit, (the above figures applied to it) gave me a Swift LT mask for which I paid separately, walked me through the assembly and operation, and I was out the door in under 20 minutes, for which they billed my insurer ..... $1900 +!!!! They are pure, unashamed, unrepentant scum. However I'd like to find someone in the area who isn't. (BTW, I filed BBB complaints, a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's Office, wrote them up in Yahoo, Google, Yelp, and elsewhere on the WEB.
