I have had tinnitus all of my adult life. Sounds like a high pitch tuning fork. I have gotten use to it and never think about until I'm in a very quiet place or if someone brings up the subject. Cpap therapy hasn't helped. My ears are ringing right now and will continue to ring until I get my mind on something else.

My ears ring, too.

As long as nobody answers, you're OK.

Mine too, sometimes sounds like a jet engine whine, other times not as bad. Haven't thought of it as sounding like a high pitched tuning fork before, but that's not a bad description. I reckon it gets worse after a coffee so I try not to have more than one or two a day.
I am about to retire from a pretty noisy job, and a bit concerned about not having that noise around me to mask it.
