0 hours S9 Auto Set on Craigs list.
I just got home with my new S9 Autoset. I was nervous buying on Craigs list but it was a very nice older man that I got it from. He lived in a lovely home in a nice older neighborhood. It is home and all set to go.

Re: 0 hours S9 on Craigs list.
congrats. Id expect since Resmed is trying to control the resell market that most of these will be sold on craigslist and theres not a thing anyone can do about it there.

Private sales of USED equipment on Craig's list are unlikely to raise eyebrows at ResMed. HOWEVER, if a pattern develops whereby a number of machines are coming in for warranty or non-warranty service, guess what? The SERIAL NUMBERS are a dead giveaway and can be traced. That is, of course, assuming that ResMed cares about the small number of machines that are going to get sold on Craigslist, etc.
If a pile of serial numbers that were sold to distributor A start showing up on ResMed's front door for service, or for tech support calls, it doesn't take long to put 2+2 together and determine the dealer that sold them. The dealer can, of course, claim that they were sold for full pop but then again, ResMed can choose to take whatever action they wish in response. My guess is that the first one or two dealers that find themselves at the bottom of the priority list with ResMed will cure the problem for all dealers.

Fall colours. One of God's gifts. Life is fragile and short, savour every moment no matter what your problems may be. These stunning fall colours from my first outing after surviving a month on life support due to H1N1.

ResMed won't accept machines sent for warranty repairs unless they come directly from an authorized dealer. They will refuse shipments from an end user. So CraigsList purchases don't have warranty coverage.

I read a post some moons ago where someone had a DME submit a machine to Resmed for warranty work even though the user did not originally acquire the machine from them. The DME only charged small fee to do this.jdm2857 wrote:ResMed won't accept machines sent for warranty repairs unless they come directly from an authorized dealer. I paid $495. It came with the case and humidifier. I asked him about warranty issues and he said if I had a problem just bring it back to him.Uncle_Bob wrote:go on then i'll ask

Re: 0 hours S9 on Craigs list.
I got to thinking after I set it up that I should test it before bedtime. I put on my Swift FX and laid down. I thought this is amazing I can't hear a thing. My husband came in and said you better get up you won't be able to sleep tonight. Wow, I don't know how long I was out. I didn't check the time. I was just going to see if it worked.Uncle_Bob wrote:Thats a sweet deal for a new S9 with humidifier. I hope you like it.Stormynights wrote:I paid $495. It came with the case and humidifier. I have a feeling that hubby will be getting this and I better enjoy it while I can. He is too sensitive and picky about everything and I can just adapt better.

I think the bigger concern would be Craig's List stopping the selling of equipment that cannot be sold legally without a prescription.torontoCPAPguy wrote: WRONG!

Re: 0 hours S9 Auto Set on Craigs list.
That's exactly how I got my S9 Autoset!! Off of craigslist. It was brand new, 0 hours, still had plastic and everything on it, humidifier and case included. The guy had an old machine that he really liked and wanted to stay with it, so he got rid of this one. At first I was very skeptical, but thought about it for a little bit, then decided to take the plunge and bite the bullet. I couldn't believe it. I called him up right away, scheduled a time to meet him and picked it up for......get this....$250!! I brought it home, and everything works perfectly. I've had it now for about a month and a half with zero problems. He also told me that if I had any problems, to go through him for warranty stuff. I'm not saying that this is the right thing to do, but for me, it works great because right now bills are extremely tight and my other machine wasn't working for me. I had another 4 years to go before insurance would kick in to buy a new one. Sometimes, one has to just take advantage of the moment.....

It just feels good to get a bargain. I am happy for you and very happy for me. I think this machine is going to be a great investment.prefer2breathe wrote:That's exactly how I got my S9 Autoset!!
