Yes the rebreathing worries me too. Will pick up alarm in the morning
Re: Safe during a thunderstorm?
I do not wake up when the power goes out, so I have a power outage alarm which does wake me up. The Reliance alarm will flashes its 3 LEDs and makes an audible alarm. It has light setting so you can also use it as flashlight in the dark. Very nice gadget to add to your inventory of CPAP stuff. It plugs into the same receptable my APAP is plugged into; I test it weekly by pulling it out of the socket.
With the alarm waking up when the power goes out is one less thing I worry aboutJunebug999 wrote:...think it will help me with the claustrophobia thing to know something will wake me up if the power goes out...

I agree, and something/ANYthing that makes this more comfortable....makes it easier for me to get the mask on, keep it on, and get some sleep.

Completely safe from electrocution because the plastic hose will not conduct electricity between your machine and you. I don't know whether a climate-control hose might be a different story, as I'm not sure whether they have wires running their entire length.

I don't know the answer to that, but it does seem like breathing through the safety valve and exhaust events might result in some CO2 buildup.DoriC wrote:Roster, I'm glad you reminded me of the safety valve but besides having all the apneas, what about the rebreathing? I was worried about that.
