possible I am allergic to the silicone?

The straps aren't leaving marks on my face but the silicone is leaving red blotches around my nose. They go away within an hour but still...

Am I alone here on this issue?

You very well could be sensitive to silicone. I know that I am. I used to get red welts in a triangle shape from the silicone. Then I tried using a T-Shirt gasket cut to fit between me and the mask. That made my leak rate rise, but it was much more comfortable.

Now I am using the liner made by a member here, that works great. My leak rate is back where it should be and no more red welts. Check them out here:
