It may be overlooked during a PSG because it typically lasts fewer than 10 seconds, even tho there may be many, many of these short episodes throughout the study. The interviewee says Doc Steven Park told her:
She ended up using a mandibular advancement device to achieve enough restful sleep after failing with CPAP equipment and having waay too many side effects from Provigil....some UARS patients can't tolerate CPAP because they may have hypersensitive nervous system....
