Got UARS? Read this!

First magazine 10/18 /10 issue, pgs 40-41 -- great info!

It may be overlooked during a PSG because it typically lasts fewer than 10 seconds, even tho there may be many, many of these short episodes throughout the study. The interviewee says Doc Steven Park told her:
...some UARS patients can't tolerate CPAP because they may have hypersensitive nervous system....
She ended up using a mandibular advancement device to achieve enough restful sleep after failing with CPAP equipment and having waay too many side effects from Provigil.

Good article. Some of you struggling with UARS who were prescribed CPAP therapy and are struggling to make it work might find some suggestions in the article. Good luck to all of you!
