I have had my S9 for 7 days. 95th percentiles looked like this-
8.9, 8.10, 8.20, 8.20, 8.20, 8.10, 6.2
Median pressures have gone this way-
8.3, 7.3, 7.10, 7.20, 7.3, 7.2, 7.0, 6.2
Average 95th percentile was 8.9, median pressure was 8.3.
I'm so happy to have APAP, my last sleep study titrated me at 10 and the incompetent "caretakers" I had before the new sleep lab opened ranged me from 17 to 13.
I know I am doing just fine but I'm curious as to how much everyone else ranges. The DME set my machine to range from 8-12 but clearly I needed the range to go lower. God bless this forum! I never would have known how to adjust my therapy without it.
I felt that I slept better than usual last night when pressures were lowest, even if not long enough. I had a small leak rate in the 95th percentile of 3.6 though I normally have zero leaks. I think maybe I slept more deeply and dislodged my mask a tiny bit. I usually awaken with the sense that I was aware of my mask all night long but I didn't feel that way last night.
For those who use APAP- how much do your numbers vary?

looks similar to my variation
Re: For those who use APAP- how much do your numbers vary?
Since starting APAP, my 95thcentile has ranged from 6.6 to 14.4 but averages 10.4. Since I started sleeping on my back (injured shoulders), my average is now 12. My range was 6-15, then 7-15, then 8-15, now 9.6-15; I'll reduce it when I can sleep on my sides again.
ResMed S9 range 9.8-17, RespCare Hybrid FFM
Never, never, never, never say never.

Thanks for the feedback. It's so fascinating to see the ways that people respond differently to CPAP.

Don't forget when titration was done, you were probably sleeping on your back - that might mean higher pressure needed? Also, starting with a larger range isn't necessarily bad....you correctly fine-tuned it after one week.
I started at 4-20 (for completely different reason), quickly dialed down my range to 7-13, then slowly fine-tuned to my current 10.5-13 range. My 95th hovers around 11, and I get as high as 12.5 on some nights when I have a leak. My Ai varies from 0 to 2.5, in fact when my leak line is completely flat, i usually get slightly higher Ai figures, with a little leakage I've gotten a few '0' And there is also variation depending on which mask I use. Swift LT always gives me better numbers, and I switch regularly with the Headrest.

I usually sleep on my back but I have lost just a few pounds since titration a couple of months ago. I know it doesn't take much to make a difference. I wish I could remember exactly how much but as many of us know the brain fog takes some time to lift, too.
