S9 filters optional?

Post by Knabino » Mon Sep 27, 2010 4:26 pm

What's with the S9 filters? If I already use a good air purifier in my room, do I need to buy these little filters for the S9 or can I leave them out?

The filters are not very expensive and the prevent foreign materials from getting into the machine. So I would use them regardless of other air filtration.

BTW, your subject says S9, but the equipment in your profile shows an S8. If you change your profile, switch the bottom option under equipment to text. It's much easier for others to tell exactly which machine you have.

Oh, that's because I'm using a loaner until I buy my own S9.

Call the DME and request the filters. Don't take no for an answer.
Most have a coarse and a fine filter.

get the deluxe s nine disposable filters, you can wash them once a week with baby shampoo, just press on them with your fingers, no scrunching..
then rinse and pat dry, they will last a very long time even though they are disposable if you do that..

there is one side that is more shiney I think that goes outward and the otherside inward.. the ones the machine usually come with are those

see through ones, which are basically useless... so buy the other ones, even if you need to get them on line.. I got mine from cpap.com

you dont need a prescription for filters..
