And yes, arousals of the sleeping kind! I was just wondering if there is anything short of a sleep lab that can be used as a metric of "unconscious arousal events". There are so many variables that could cause us to wake in the night - and the machines do not cover them. A pulse oximeter possibly - but you'd have to be pretty awake for your sat level to rise enough to show you waking up.
Any simple two lead EEG's - anything that can even suggest consciousness that we may not remember? Thanks.
