Dear gfk,
Got the Swift FX this past April and the first month I loved it. But in May I guess my body began to adjust to this treatment and began to relax more while asleep(if that's possible). That's when my troubles began. Started waking up with dry eyes during the night and in the morning. Changing the FX pillow to the next size up didn't help. Getting a new nasal pillow didn't help. Also the exhaust port angles down at 45 degrees. I blow on myself, my bed pillow, and the comforter. It's getting worse with cooler weather as I pull the comforter up around my shoulders. When sleeping on my side the exhaust air strikes my bed pillow and 'splashes' back into my face... another source of dry eye.
I'm a renter and hesitate to put more holes in the wall to manage my hose. I really liked the garden stake idea but would have to buy a headboard. However...I could use engine hose clamps and attach a stake to the closest leg. Ah, yes... I can see it now.
I admit I have a lazy streak. After reading here, about people having trouble getting a mask that works because of face size and shape, I tried my husband's Opus 360 and find that works much better. The hose attaches to the strap that goes over the top of my head, where it drapes over the pillow and on to the floor. It's totally out of the way up there, I'm not rolling over onto and pulling the nasal pillows out of place, or the whole thing off my head as happened five or more times a week with the FX. So the Opus 360 will be my next purchase.
Good luck to you!
Cindy

Here's a link with instructions on how to make your own hose hanger. The legs slip under your mattress, so no holes are required.
