Mouth Breathing

Post by trytryagain » Wed Sep 22, 2010 6:04 am

I woke up during the night to find myself breathing through my mouth, using mirage quattro FF. I guess my nose got stuffy and I subconciencly switched to mouth breathing. It was comfortable, is there a problem with therapy if I mouth breath in the mask?

Nope. Full face masks were designed so you can mouth breathe and get good therapy.

If you have your humidifier set too high, it can actually cause more nasal congestion......which would cause you to mouth-breathe. If that's the case, you should consider turning your HH setting down or Off, so you can breathe through your nose. And, if you're not already, you should consider doing nasal cleansing/irrigation before bedtime.

Yes! Wulfman is back after a five week hiatus. I hope you enjoyed your "time off".
