Ear Ache
Re: Ear Ache
Don't assume it's CPAP related. Get it checked out. There shouldn't be enough CPAP pressure to affect your ear.Wade1326 wrote:I have been using my new c-pap for a week now and I have developed a bad ear ache in my left ear. What causes this ?

Re: Ear Ache
First, follow Silly's suggestion to have your doctor check it out--just because you are on CPAP doesn't mean you can't develop other things. But if nothing is found, try these suggestions:
1. Try turning your humidifier up or down one notch. Too much humidity bothers my ears.
2. Make sure your sinuses are clear by a) using a saline rinse (spray or neti pot) to clear out your sinuses once or twice daily, b) talk to your doctor about either an antihistamine (e.g. Claritin or Zyrtec) and/or steroid nasal spray to keep your sinuses under control.
Those should help.
