Sorry, I have no idea what this means. I wore a pillow mask for 22-23 months and now wear the Hybrid (pillows & oral cushion) since July '09. I am not sure what seated means...sorry while it makes sense to you I can't imgaine what it means. I just slightly insert the end of the pillow in my nose; when I use the mask fit feature on my APAP, if I don't get an Excellent (fit) I slide the pillow to the top of my nostril -- is that what you mean by seated? I use the largest pillow to get the max amt of airflow as a smaller pillow makes me feel like I'm not getting enough air and that makes me anxious (fear of suffocation and severe clastrophobia are real impediments to CPAP therapy, gotta want it a lot to overcome the fear). If someone tried to fit a pillow mask on me, I'd likely panic. The RT in my sleep study and in my sleep doc's office knew/know I am dealing with fear and let me put the mask on my face.snuginarug wrote:...seat it properly, the way you're supposed to...

Seated means placed, arranged, positioned, located, situated properly, at the very opening of the nostril, not shoved up in there. No one tried to shove anything up my nose. I really would have started throwing punches if that had happened. I've read up on pillows and understand you don't shove them way up into your nose. She was doing things properly, I just couldn't stand it.Muse-Inc wrote:Sorry, I have no idea what this means.
