sleepymama, you are spending 95% of your night in leak rates that are absolutely acceptable -- both for the pillows and for the nasal mask. The 95% leak rate is simply the amount of leak you are at, or below, for 95% of the time. In other words your only spending 5% of the night at a leak rate higher than about 20. Your maximum leak rate in this case doesn't' mean much.
The median number is the one you are at -- or below, for 50% of the time.
3 things helped me keep my nasal pillow mask from dislodging:
- Hanging my head over the pillows edge, like Elena does
- Routing the hose from above my head
- And using a cut pantyhose leg to stabilise the pillows -- I often need this even with the Hybrid now
I stopped using nasal pillows because I got to a point where I could no longer keep a seal, even with tape: air would pour into my mouth, blow up me cheeks, and wake me.
