Here is a didgeridoo kit being specifically marketed for treatment of sleep apnea:

I can't help but think the $118 cost is really high since they are targeting desperate sleep apnea suffers There are didgeridoos on amazon in the $20-$30 range also made of plastic and of similar dimensions. Anyone know a didgeridoo enthusiast who can vet the $118 offering from LA Outback or recommend the amazon models?

Learning to play can't hurt, and it might be fun... this has piqued my interest.

I bought this one, http://www.amazon.com/Didgeridoo-Store- ... nstruments , and am perfectly pleased with it. It is a good priced instrument for a beginner, very easy to play, and it does vibrate and massage your throat very well. If you really take to the didge, then you can buy a more expensive one without having spent much money on this model. This model comes from the Woodwind and Brass Store and they seem like an excellent company.
Now I said it is easy to play, but that means to make the appropriate sound. Learning circular breathing seems a more difficult matter and I have yet to put much time into it. However, even without circular breathing, you can get a good throat massage in 20 minutes of playing.
Note in the study only one participant claimed his AHI went to zero. It had been 17.
I consider regular playing of a didge to be a good supplement to CPAP for most people.

All of the ones I have seen played (live) were made out of 6 -8 feet of PVC pipe with beeswax mouth pieces. In other words a few bucks at Home Depot and a craft store.davecpap wrote: I can't help but think the $118 cost is really high since they are targeting desperate sleep apnea suffers There are didgeridoos on amazon in the $20-$30 range also made of plastic and of similar dimensions.
