Got the notice from Ebay about Pad-a-cheek's removal about forty minutes after my order from Karen arrived in the mail.

Nice woman who provides very fast service.

Ebay

Hi all,
I got a reply from ebay about their policy. The new policy is no CPAP equipment or accesories allowed including hoses, masks, tube wraps, etc. The only allowed CPAP supplies are the manuals for the CPAP machines. Ebay doesn't have an understanding of what it should ban and what should be allowed according to the law, but I guess it is their show....

I listed tonight on yahoo.com auction.

CPAP.com will be doing a trial of PAD A CHEEK soon, so be sure to watch for it. We are hopeful this will be a great thing for both Mr. Goodman and for people who need the PAD A CHEEKs, and for me.
I appreciate your continued support, and all the kind words.

Karen

I need to chime in on this one. Like I said to Karen, it amazes me how eBay can condone selling manuals that tell you how to do all the things that the DMEs and doctors don't want you to know how to do, and specifically do not allow the patients to obtain, which are copied and being sold for profit, but won't allow you to buy things such as straps, hoses and harmless CPAP-related items. I think the CEO of eBay or whoever is responsible for their policy making may need to go on CPAP therapy since it seems that person has severe brain fog. Am I alone in thinking that this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever IF they're worried about doing the "right" thing? What a bunch of *holes.

I am flabergasted that Ebay sent such a message. Ebay is a very sophisticated operation; don't think for a minute that they don't know precisely what can be sold and what cannot be sold. I am beginning to believe in the conspiracy theory!

Good luck on Yahoo!

I just fired off a heated email to about 20 addresses inside ebay. The fact that they're allowing someone to sell manuals (something that WE should get when we receive the machines) but they won't allow someone to sell pads is so far beyond rediculous that it makes me sick.

Okay. Where did you find the addresses? You got me riled. Now they're in big trouble, mister...you haven't seen my letters when I get angry!

Well, Karen, who needs 'em? Sounds like you've got great plans in the works and, with the way the word is getting out around here, they'll soon be wishing they had better sense and let you stay on their listing. What nonsense! Fortunately, we all know better and, thanks to Lori, found you anyway! Thanks to Karen and to Lori! I love my Padacheeks!

Beth, I'm so happy you are getting such good results with Karen's product. It's amazing how something so little can make such a huge difference.

How are you doing with your Aura, by the way? Have you given up on it or did it work out for you? I guess whatever you're using, the straps have helped, which makes me believe it's not the Aura you're using since there are no straps you would be able to use the PAC's on.

i've gone back to the Swift for most of the time, but still use the "Headrest with nasal seal" on occasion. I like the softer pillows on the "interface formerly known as Aura" (is there a symbol we can use for that? IFKA?) but was having too much condensation in the nasal loop no matter what I did, and even the added pantyhose leg strap wasn't keeping it in place. Rather than fight it, I decided to reconcile with the Swift for awhile. I still plan to give te IFKA a try again but needed a break from it for a little while. I probably will rotate among the two, maybe a regular mask also, over the long term.

BTW, I now have 2 padacheeks on my Swift (one over the other) and there are NO marks whatsoever in the morning. I am a happy customer.

Wouldn't you think these companies would do some R&D and look at sites like this and do some revamping on their products to make them more user-friendly as per the suggestions of people who have been there, done that??? Or even invent their own strap covers for "sensitive skinned" patients (one way of covering their butts so they don't have to give them away for free or admit there is a flaw with their product). They could even charge for that new product and if it worked, it would be flying off the shelves. People who love a mask like the Swift but hate those marks would be happy to pay, I feel, for a cover like the PACs that keep those marks from appearing in the morning and make the straps so much more comfortable. But instead they do nothing and keep the poor people who use them lab-ratting their heads off.

But I guess, indirectly, they are helping if we continue to lab-rat off our heads. Then there's no need to use a mask and no problem with uncomfortable straps if you have no head to put it on!

Since I can't give a good feedback on EBay, I will give it here. Just got my 2 sets of padacheeks in the mail tonite (was gone all day). Very surprised at getting them so soon! Can't wait to try them. Love the neat little tool and instructions. Very cute - and practical.

Thanks, Jere for the tip on using 2 sets on the Swift. For tonite, I am only going to use only one set since I already have them on, but tomorrow night, will try the 2 sets. It's those darn hard straps that are on the Swift. I wish the company would redesign them as they are the only thing I have against my Swift.

Now, the hard decision - what color do I want on top???
