Tried Remzzs

Post by Beachmeezer » Mon Aug 30, 2010 6:01 am

I like to wear moisturizer and always wake up to a "sliding" mask. I saw someone post about these and decided to give them a try. When they arrived, now that I see what they are I'm sure we can make some at home lol

They worked great! Not only could I wear moisturizer but I could sleep on my side with ease. Usually, I have to reseat my mask when I roll over and that wakes me up a little more and then I'm up. Never had to reseat my mask once all night. Stayed nicely in place all night plus I was able to loosen the straps a bit.

Slept through the entire night with my mask (a first in a long time - I usually ditch the mask an hour or so before the alarm goes off) and dropped my AHI from 6 to 2. I feel better this morning than I have in a long time.

I found the REMzzzs to only last a day or so and they distorted terribly when washed. I took an old, thin cotton blend T-shirt and made 16 seals out of it. So easy to do and they wash and dry in a lingerie bag beautifully. If I forget to wash them one week, I have enough to go another week. I, too, like to slather my face in moisturizer and love the feel of cotton, instead of silicone, on my face.

Made some of mine out of an old t-shirt too also a couple of pairs of old cotton undies, but I went around each one with a zig zag stitch, including the nose cut out. Now they wash up and keep their shape much better.
