ADD is an important problem in its own right, but research in sleep laboratories has shown that some (and perhaps a great many) kids are mislabeled with ADD when the real problem is chronic, partial sleep deprivation.

In the typical U.S. rush to write a prescription for a drug and get on to the next patient, I am sure many kids with SDB are inappropriately treated with drugs for ADD.

I also believe there are many whose problems have at the root sleep-deprivation due to lifestyle and diet factors. Appropriate treatment is lifestyle and diet change, not powerful drugs.
