In the typical U.S. rush to write a prescription for a drug and get on to the next patient, I am sure many kids with SDB are inappropriately treated with drugs for ADD.ADD is an important problem in its own right, but research in sleep laboratories has shown that some (and perhaps a great many) kids are mislabeled with ADD when the real problem is chronic, partial sleep deprivation.

I also believe there are many whose problems have at the root sleep-deprivation due to lifestyle and diet factors. Appropriate treatment is lifestyle and diet change, not powerful drugs.
