Newbie's First Night Tonight
Newbie's First Night Tonight
I received an S9 today for a 4-week trial to get an average titration, rather than doing a CPAP Sleep Study. I was sure I hadn't slept on my original Sleep Study but they say I did a bit!!
I tried the APAP this afternoon for an hour while reading so don't know how I will make out through the night. I hope I can sleep.
Could someone please tell me where I can get the current Resmed software?
I've been looking at this site for the past few months and really appreciate what I've learned.

I am willing to bet a crispy green $1 bill that you will do better than I did my first night. I only lasted about 2 hours. I did a little better each night after that. Still, that 2 hours of iffy sleep was far better than anything I had in the previous 8 years, so I was pretty happy to make it that far. After a few months, I was sleeping like a kitty cat.

Re: Newbie's First Night Tonight
I went to bed last night around 11:30 pm and about 1 am I finally fell asleep. The mask was not bothering me. I love the way the APAP stays at 5 until AFTER you fall asleep!
Around 4 am I looked at the clock and thought, "Oh, I've managed to sleep for 3 hours." Then promptly went back to sleep and woke up about 6:10 am and couldn't go back to sleep but rested until 7:15 when I got up for work[. So, all in all, I was happy with the "first night."
I was concerned about the hose so my husband found an old "light" luggage carrier we had. (It will be great for travelling). He slid the platform of the carrier under the mattress at the head of the bed and I found a "pant hanger" and we placed the hanger (the part where the pants go) along the handle of the luggage carrier and Velcroed it. Voila! Hooked the hose on the hook part of the hanger and it was above me all night and hung my mask this morning. Didn't have any problem with the hose through the night.
I had no dry throat so imagine the humidity was ok.
Checked my data:
Usage - 0 (don't understand that)
AHI - - (guess there weren't any apneas)??
Pressure - 9.2
Leak - 3.6 (I wasn't aware of any leaks)
Can anyone help me with these readings??
All in all, I was happy with the first night. Now, try again tonight!

I'm a noob and don't know what to make of the 0hrs usage and AHI = "-"
I can tell you that the leak rate of 3.6 is good.
Hopefully you'll get help on the AHI and usage numbers soon.
Is your total run time (total hours the machine operated) showing at the bottom of the data screen?
Sleep well and prosper!
Re: Newbie's First Night Tonight
Yes, the run time was 8+ hours

Re: Newbie's First Night Tonight
I think (I'm not a Resmed user) that your AHI and usage hours don't post until noon in case you use your machine more in the morning. Did you check it again later in the day?
I guess they expect people to be awake by noon. They haven't met my teenager
