Mako 3500 Smartcard reader not found Win7 in XP Mode

Post by builta » Wed Aug 18, 2010 8:31 pm

Hi,

I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 and have Win XP virtual machine running within Win 7. I loaded Encorepro 1.8 into the virtual machine and downloaded information successfully from the smartcard. That worked great the first time. But subsequently, I can load the virtual machine and start Encorepro but, I cannot get the program to download any data. It just reports "Cannot connect to the device"

Integration features are "auto enabled" and the "USB" "Mako 3500 Smartcard Reader" is attached to the virtual machine reports in the XP Virtual machine's "Device Manager".

Anyone know how to get the smartcard reader to function in the XP virtual machine?

Thanks
