I am using a ResMed Sullivan Comfort bilevel machine (about two years old, and out of warranty) that has recently started to make intermittent grinding noises coinciding with a dip in pressure and fine sooty particulate matter being spewed into the mask. My guess is that the motor or a bearing or some such thing is starting to fail. Does it make sense to repair the machine? Can a repair be done cost-effectively? If so, who does a good job repairing these machines? Or am I better off just buying a new machine?
