Respironics has released a Bipap auto. I read some where in this forum, can't remember exactly where, that Respironics is offering a software upgrade for the bipap Pro 2 to add the "auto" function. I tried contacting Respironics and got nowhere. Anyone heard about this or did I misread?

I was delivered a Respironics Bipap Auto by my insurance company today. The update from Encore Pro 1.4 to version 1.5 that will read the bipap auto. The upgrade will be available from the Respironics website at the first of the week.

This machine seems to work very well.

I'm getting one to, Ted. It being new, maybe you can keep everyone informed about how it works. I know the update info is invaluable. I know there will be lots of questions concerning it in the upcoming future. I hope it works as well as expected as I will get to try one soon.

Thanks for the Encore update info. I was refereing to Bipap Pro 2 machine upgrade, not the Encore pro software. I know I read it someplace in this forum that Respironics is offering the up grade as opposed to replacing the entire machine.

I have not heard that there is an upgrade path. If anything I would guess that they would drop the Bipap Pro 2 because of the similar price point. But, that is just a guess.
