Friday Weight Club Weigh-Ins?
Don't look at me after spending a few days away on vacation, eating worse than usual and having a few drinks for the first time in who knows when, so I will not be stepping on the scale for our Friday weigh-ins. But what happened to everyone else? Any news to share, good or bad?
Yes, I am a total chicken and don't need to be depressed over how much I probably gained on my little excursion, so I am playing it smart and not weighing in for a week or so. It's like learning not to read your smart card data every day...sometimes it's best not to go there. This is one of those times.
SO????

I was up at 6am this morning...before anyone else...and my scales are in the bedroom where hubbie is still sleeping. Tomorrow will be the same....so it may be Sunday before I get to finally get on the scales in the morning....will let you know then. This new job and working that early is for the birds..LOL

I'm FINALY down 5lbs from where I started. At least I'm going in the right direction.
Peg, BTW it's my birthday today too! 45, years young!
I'll be out tonight looking to see if Julia Roberts is out celebrating (it's her birthday too!) If not, I'll just hang-out with Bill Gates (it's also his birthday)

I saw the doc this week and got depressing news. In the past 10 weeks I gained 5 lbs. Plus, since my last blood test 3 months ago my blood sugar has gone up and my cholesterol has gone crazy!
It has been a bad week, all 'round. I'll post more details in the MIA thread about me.

Don't expect me to post on this type of thread on a regular basis, but I just happened to have a doctor's appointment earlier this week and according to them I had lost 20 pounds since my last visit there a few months ago.
Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Peg and Wader!
Best wishes,
Den

Den,
20 lbs. without knowing it was happening??? I don't like you anymore. (that is fantastic) Congratulations.
And WTG Wader & Frank, too.
Bill, what do you think is going on with your blood results/weight? Seems like the cholesterol and the weight gain may go hand in hand, no? Maybe too many of those home-baked cookies your daughter has been cooking up that you've been nipping at? Well, look at it as a wake-up call to be a more careful eater and maybe try to get in some exercise, if possible, to help in both depts. It's not bad unless you ignore it and continue doing what you're doing. Sometimes it's a good thing when they discover things while they're not harming you yet and you still can do something about it. Get moving, mister!
