Many of us have used Dawn for years with no problems.
I've been using it for almost 12 years and my masks and headgear last from 4 - 6 years (or longer).
How on earth would it "dry it out"???

garbage, total and utter garbage.
I used dawn on my full face mask cushion for *FIVE YEARS* and kept waiting for the thing to wear out.
