I too am having mask problems. Been on CPAP for almost 2 months now and have yet to find a mask that actually works for me. A few times I think I've found one, but the longer I wear, the worse it gets. Right now, I am using the Mirage Micro. The first couple days I wore it, it did pretty well, But now, I can't seem to get it to stop leaking everytime I move. It wakes me up at night because of the pressure of the air leaking into my eyes and I fight with it the rest of the night trying to get the leaks to stop. I've tried so many masks that my original DME gave up on me and told me they couldn't help me. Am now with a better provider (the sleep center where I had my test) and they at least are providing me with masks that actually fit my face, but they all leak horribly after a few nights. I keep trying to adjust the straps and placement, all to no avail. My starting pressure is 13 and it averages 14.3 through the night. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Wash mask daily and face at night..perhaps facial oils contributing to leaky seal.

I wipe the mask daily with a baby wipe, and wash with soap and water on the weekends, but maybe this isn't enough. Will try washing it fully when I get home tonight and see if that helps. Thanks.

I have just received a DeVilbiss Sleepcube with a mask (very plain & simple). Tonight is going to be night #3. Last two nights I ripped the mask off after a few hours. It drives me crazy. There is air blowing on my eyes which feels awful and dries them out even more than their ususal dryness. Rather than helping me breathe I fees suffocated by the whole contraption. I am so depressed and unhappy and soooo tired.
I tried lowerng the airflow (ramping down?? ), and it was a little better but still uncomfortable. Please any adivce, encouragement, suggestions would be welcome.

Jetsetter, welcome to the forum.
Random thought: do you have facial hair that would get in the way of sealing (like my short beard)? Do you sweat much or is the humidifier (?) set too high? IF you will register and add in your equipment.. in TEXT style.. we may be able to offer more specific thoughts. See my signature below for a link to doing that.

Could you please look at the equipment links in your profile. If you are new to cpap it is unlikely that you have the machine you have chosen. It was discontinued quite some years ago.

I suspect you have a PR System One Remstar ...whatever model and looks probably like the one in my signature.

In the equipment list in the profile section look for the items that begin with PR System One Remstar..
and choose your model and the accompanying PR System One Heated Humidifier.
