I am having them now, but I assume it's due to my surgery, and possibly running a fever off and on.

the back of my head use to sweat like crazy. I just thought it was because of my massive brain over heating or maleapause. I as the sleep Dr and she said it would stop once on Cpap because that was related to sleep apnea and it has so far so good.

First of all, I am female and 56 so take that for what it is worth. I have been on hormone replacement since 1999 due to having female surgery (and no not a sex change either ).

In the past 6 months or so I have been having terrible bouts with feeling like I am burning up. I will literally be so hot feeling that I feel a strong need to do something to cool down. Even on negative digit degree weather I have been known to step outside to get cooled down without a coat or jacket. I have wondered about the cause since I am usually on the cool side and like my temps rather warm.

All joking aside, andropause, the male form of menopause can be the cause of night sweats. It's a simple blood test to check your T level. It's not something docs normally check as part of your routine annual exams but it should be. Low-T causes a whole host of problems which are often misdiagnosed, especially depression.
