Hi, just want to put something in here - not argue about anything, but a few years ago there was extensive testing of buses and seatbelts (for kids) and the consensus was that it was not a safer option to have the belts (on little kids) on buses. It did not 'work' the same as it does in cars and the potential for serious problems was higher than that of not using seatbelts. Maybe it doesn't sound rational, but I suggest you try and research it because it did happen (not just one small study either) and there apparently were good reasons for the decision.

now if i'm reading this right- she uses o2 from a pressurized container.

dot rules specifically disallow any pressurized contaianer over a certain size in the passenger compartment of a vehicle designed to carry passengers and more specifically prohibits explosives and /or oxidizers to be carried even in a cargo compartment. these rules apply for coach and school bus.

the federal government has recently mandated that school buses must follow federal rules. used to be each state did thier own thing. states can add to it but must follow minimums.

funny thier own rules actually disallows the mandatory fire extinguisher

my opinion (for what it's worth) you were denied due process -not right. but if o2 is needed there is no way a person should drive any comercial vehicle

I don't think they will question my driving, My Doctor, one of a Fleet of them, is a Pulmonary Care Dr, that owns his own Clinic. As long as I have a clean driving record they should have no business looking at me. As far as collecting your own data, even my Doctor wasn't aware of the software, my DME did give me a machine that could collect it, Lincare had the software, but no-one there was smart enough to be able to use it. That's when we decided to take control of our own life, I make the changes I need, then tell the Doc, he says I am doing right and wishes his other patients would take more concern.

My main problem is my heart isn't pumping enough blood. Quad by-pass, then a DeFib implant, on a good day I run 93 on O2, can't walk more than 1 block or one flight of stairs, without being winded. I retired early.
I would rather be doing things, but the body limits that. I play with TECH, (Computers & Video) to keep the mind sharp. I always drove 25,000 to 50,000 miles a year, now I'm down to 2,500.

I want to stay home and the wife wants to go, she's not in my body! It's bad to be doing all your like, then all of a sudden not be able too. Not the Golden Years we always were told about. I always hated others telling me what to do in my personal life. They would be better off cleaning up their own lives.

On Seat Belts, i've had three major wrecks in my life, one totaled both cars. No wrecks were my fault, no-one was ever hurt, nor did I use a seat belt. The police here enforce the law here on belts, because it brings in money (A TAX), and most likely they won't get shot or beat up enforcing it, it's even safer if they stop older people.

Now that they installed a Defib in my chest, (Yes I got one with defective leads, that they can't safely remove), I collected tickets and paid the fines (TAXES). Now I have a Doctors Script that states it's not safe for me to wear a seat belt, and have it added to my license too. I no longer drive a 30 year old car, got a new GMC 1500 Crew Cab, and they don't profile me anymore. So far 1 year with no seat belt TAXES.

The sectet to good xPAP treatment is a low lead rate, some masks even FF ones I consider useless because of high normal leak rates, if you can't maintain the correct pressure over the leaks trouble starts. My AHI is under 2 MAX, many nights AHI 0.8 or less. I can feel the difference if it goes over two, after a couple of days. I do have some problems with mouthleaking at times but it low enough not to go to my FF mask, if I couldn't keep it under 2, I'd go back to my FF mask.

Wish you and the wife best of luck and health. Jim
