I have the System One auto machine too. I was using the M Series auto before I go this.

With the M Series, my VS was almost always 0. With the System One the VS gets up to 9 sometimes. My husband tells me I am not snoring and I have a hose management system (same as the one I used with the M Series) and nothing else is different (auto settings the same, mask the same - pass over humidity, etc). I am getting excellent data (AHI below 1 most of the time), leak rate - right on for the mask, just as with the M Series.

I feel more rested with the System One and like the air delivery ( gentiler??) so don't understand why the VS is so high when compared with the M Series.

Anyone???

Since no one as answered I'll make a guess, and it is a guess, Respironics probably made a change in the algorithm between the M series and your new machine.
It's possible the new machine is also more sensitive to VS than your old machine.

Last week I purchased a new S9 Auto, my 5 year old Respironics Auto died. The new S9 is able to detect central apnea events. They are always improving the technology/treatment on the newer generations of machines.

You stated your feeling better, how your feeling is the best gauge of your treatment.

Thanks. That was my guess as well.

Sure wish it wasn't a guess though. I just want to know more about my machine.

I thought by responding it would bump this back up to the top and someone with more knowledge would jump in. Hopefully with this reply someone else can offer something better than my guess.
