It's probably better off not napping if you can function through the day. As you said, you want to try to get on a "normal" schedule.
However, if you really need that nap, use the CPAP. You should never sleep without it (which is more easily said than done.)

Re: Feel horrible on CPAP
Finally got a roundabout hold of the sleep doctor (he spoke to me via receptionist) - "Doctor said to give it more time - see how it goes after a week". Called the DME (Lincare), the individual who setup my machine was also shocked to hear that I'm feeling worse. Do most people instantly take to this? Because my results are surprising people both at the DME and Doctor's office.
DME is going to come test the machine to see if its putting out the pressure its supposed to, and also to give me an overnight pulse/ox recorder. They are also going to download the data and report back her findings.

Re: Feel horrible on CPAP
If you are feeling worse, then it is because you are sleeping worse. Something is disturbing your sleep. The only question is what.
If you are like me, your AHI maybe low but you are still waking-up frequently because of mouth leaks. You state that your leak rate is low (assuming that your machine is set properly to correct for the intentional mask ventilation rate). You could be waking-up frequently to shut your mouth because of mouth leak noise. Still a low leak rate but bad sleep.
How do you sleep when you are at a hotel? It takes me a few days to adjust. If you take awhile, then it will take you awhile to get used to sharing your sleep with a mask and a machine.
Over the years your sleep has adjusted to frequent eposoids of strangulation. If you can adjust to that, you can adjust to sharing your sleep with a machine.

My Hybrid vents more than the ResMed FFMs so I use "MIR FULL" and expect to see some leak reported.
ResMed S9 range 9.8-17, RespCare Hybrid FFM
