Dreams of choking
Dreams of choking
I have this reoccurring dream of choking in my nasal pillows and wake up and have a choking sensation. After a moment of panic I relies it is not possible to choke on your mask and I am wondering if anybody has any trouble with this? I have recently started looking at my data and really can’t find a correlation with the events. Also can I get some ideas about how to interpret data? Maybe a book or web site. I have lots of questions 1 comes to mind – Flow on the graph does that represent breaths in and out?
Re: Dreams of choking
What EPR setting are you using? EPR drops your pressure (in centimeters) on exhale by the amount of the setting.Mebake wrote:I have this reoccurring dream of choking in my nasal pillows and wake up and have a choking sensation. Beyond that, I would suspect you're losing your therapy air out your mouth. (or a combination of these)

Re: Dreams of choking
One night I had a dream that my mouth was bubbling and frothing. I woke up on my back with my mouth wide open, so of course there was air going right out of my mouth, bubbling at the back of my throat.
Re: Dreams of choking
During my sleep study, I had a dream of choking. In the dream, I was in bed and sat up and tried to get assistance from someone and couldn't make any noises to get their attention.
Need to restart BiPAP therapy, never got adjusted enough. ResMed VPAP Auto with H3i humidifier, Mirage Quattro Full Face mask, ResScan 3.5. On paper, my Dx is OSAS, but it's probably UARS. Reduced amount of REM. Titrated at very low I/E pressures.
