Re: S9 vs PR System One
I have not yet had the opportunity to try either one. However in speaking recently to my RT at the DME where I bought my S8 over 7 months ago, she felt that the PR System One was much more durable than the S9. She said you could drop it without any ill effects and really liked the dry box technology. My DME here in Quebec sells only the latest models from Resmed, Respironics and F&P and all at the same price. They were very good about not pressuring me to buy one brand over another. So I think her assessment of the PR one was an honest one.

thanks for your feedback. My posts is my personal assesment of 6 Respironics CPAP ihave used and 1 Resmed S9.
Definitely to assess reliability and quality you need access to a bigger pool of data.
However after using 6 CPAP and more than 10 masks, my personal conclusion is definitve. Overall quality of Resmed products are higher than Respironics. This is apparent in the masks quality and user interface. When I was still dealing with DMEs in the first 6 months of my CPAP life, I tried Respironics masks and just by the feel of them, my preference is all Resmed. In terms of CPAP, for the last 3 yrs I have been using 100% Respironics, until reviews in this forums made me curious to try S9 and these reviews are reliable and truthful.
Give me another 3- 6 months and see how it is...
