Help - Windows 7 & CMS Oximeter Software/Driver
Re: Help - Windows 7 & CMS Oximeter Software/Driver
The 500fw says it won't delete the data until record it turned on again, and no problem pulling it off with spo2 assistant, but maybe for sleepyhead it makes a difference. I will try leaving recording on tomorrow until after I try to connect to sleepyhead.

Re: Help - Windows 7 & CMS Oximeter Software/Driver
I've always just uploaded the data into SpO2 then pulled it into SH from the file but maybe that's the problem i'm having with it because it never goes into the correct day in SH it always goes in for the previous day. as an example if I was doing it today (for last nights data) I would load information from my SD card (from CPAP) into the SH program then put the oximeter data in but that Data (from last night (Friday)) would pull into Thursdays data a day behind where it was supposed to go. I haven't figured this out yet why and how to get it in correctly-- i don't know if i'm doing something wrong (probably am) or I have a corrupt copy of SH or SpO2 or what. eventually I think i'm going to remove both SpO2 and SH from my program files and redownload them and see if i can get it to work for right now i just look at the data on the 2 different programs. I've found that if I try and load the data from the CMS50D+ any other way (such as turning off the record button before i'm ready to download I loose the data

Re: Help - Windows 7 & CMS Oximeter Software/Driver
I have the 50+ and turn off the recording everytime. The trick is to not exit that menu. If you exit that menu, then it can shut off if your finger isn't in there. You might lose the data, but I never have.karessamom wrote:"A. Record your Pulse-Ox data over night
1. Turn ON your Pulse-Oximeter after masking up at night.
2. Turn Record to ON.
3. Insert a finger into the sensor and sleep with it all night.
4. Turn Record OFF when you awaken in the morning. "
If you have a 50D+ do NOT turn off the record until when you're downloading it or you will lose the data

Re: Help - Windows 7 & CMS Oximeter Software/Driver
Sounds like you have made very good progress, CpapWife. Have you succeeded in inserting your pulse and SpO2 graphs into SH now? If you have, sure I'll be happy to include the steps you ironed out so model FW users can use them too. Nice work. Let me know.

Works great, but **** notice you have to turn wireless on each time right before you try to connect to the device in SPO2***. It gets turned off overnight (when turned on to record I bet).
I am on Windows 7 64 bit home version. The instructions said use the standard Microsoft bluetooth driver (I just did plug and play).
So for me,
Take CMS550FW with bluetooth.
Turn it on, make sure recording is off and Wireless is on (Wireless is on that main menu, just above record).
I run SPO2 Assistent, click on File, then Connect Device, a pop up box appears.
Give it a minute and the device shows up. Bluetooth - it has to be line of sight of course, I have them about 3' away and works fine.
Click on View Device Stored Data Only (bottom left of the popup box), click on the device that shows in the list to highlight it, then click on Connect. NOTE: IT unhighlights the device if not done in this order but it will still work.
A new popup box appears - Device Store Data
Click on the box that shows in the table (Mine says []1 user 1 (timestamp) (timestamp), click on the []
Then click on Receive Data.
Box pops - Receiving Device Stored Data with progress bar.
The file is saved.
Then you need to open the file (File Open, look for file with the correct timestamp).
Hope that helps.
Papit - maybe you can include that data for your instructions for future use?

Ok, here is where my experience diverges. I get the dialogue box to show up, but the title of the box is
"No available device(s) found!" right where I put ****** above.
I have tried every combination of software, BT settings ... everything I can possible think of. No luck.
My BT devices pair fine. My BT functionality is great with all other BT devices.
The CMS50FW even pairs with an Android app I have, on two different devices, running MyFitnessCompanion (which is very cool btw)
but again, even with that, no communication. Pairing works fine, communication doesn't.
What I was hoping for was a device that would allow me to get my Resmed VPAP data into sleephead along with the Oximetry data.
So far, I can get everything *but* the oximetry data into SH. I just can't use BT, I have to use the supplied USB cable.
That's not a horrible thing of course, but would be handy if I could just pull all of my hardware on at night (which already takes a while)
hit "on", then get all my data in one place. I guess this is out of reach unless I buy real medical hardware and drop 10k$ on it.
I was also hoping I could get my .spO2 data from the CMS into SH, but I can find no way to do that even with all of the help out there on the subject.
No version of Review will connect to my serial/USB device (doesn't matter, I have the file anyway from Assistant) No version of anything will give me the .spO or .spOR that SH wants. I think this will still work, just have to find where I'm screwing up!
Thanks for your input!

Re: Help - Windows 7 & CMS Oximeter Software/Driver
Sure, why not. I just went ahead and included as a WORK IN PROGRESS both yours and Gasping's evolving instruction sets for inserting CMS-50FW Pulse-Ox data and graphs into SleepyHead software. All who have that wireless connecting pulse ox, the CMS-50FW, are invited to pool your progress in ironing out a good set of instructions to pull this off. Thus far the two of you are on two parallel but separate tracks, one using the blue tooth connection and the other using the miniUSB cable connection. Everyone having a CMS-50FW is encouraged to kick in. Let's use this thread as the meeting place to roll with the project.CpapWife wrote: . . . Papit - maybe you can include that data for your instructions for future use? . . .
Drj130 has located the link to the published instruction for the subject 50FW pulse-ox. https://www.medicaltestsupply.com/v/vs ... s50fw.pdf
Below are the starting points for the two approaches:
Bluetooth Connection / Evolving Solution
