My used RemstarPlus???

Post by Maple Leaf » Wed May 26, 2010 12:26 pm

What should I do with this fine piece of equipment? I bought it about 7 years ago and used it for less than 5 mths. The total blower hours shows 1,152hrs . Yes, I was a fool and stopped therapy until last September when I bought an M Series. The thing is the RemstarPlus is so much quieter and smoother than the M Series.
It's sitting in it's original case with all manuals so I'm wondering if it would be worth trying to sell on Ebay or something? If so, how much should I ask for it? I'd really like to try the "brand new" HeadRest nasal pillow mask so if some one wants to trade...well, I'm just saying

Regards,
Rick

E-bay won't let you sell cpaps on their site. I see lots of the older machines bought and sold on cpapauction.com. I bought 2 my self!! It is owned by the same company as cpaptalk. Can be also sold on Craig's List.

Hi Rick

I sold my cpap on kijiji, I advertised it on Craigslist too. I had bought that one from a person from Ontario.

You can try it and see what happens, it's free and you can put pictures.

Good luck

It would certainly be worthwhile to keep it as a backup machine! You never know when the machine you are currently using might have a problem.

There's certainly a demand for second hand machines. My brother-in-law has one and one of the men I met at my last sleep study had no insurance and worked at less than minimum wage - and yes I'm in Canada as well.

Perhaps you can let your doctor know that you have one for sale and he can pass a needy case your way.

Backup idea x3 ... I actually have one in the bedroom and one next to the couch for when I take a snooze there!
