I SEE BLUE PEOPLE....
oKAY, popping in for an update..
My pressure range is now four to twenty... eeekorama, that aint gonna work with this mask! IT was fine with the nasal pillows though..
I tried to take a nap in it, and OMG, at four you are really suffocating! I DID NOT Notice this last night, as I said, hubby forgot to turn the
machine on while I was fluffing pillows.. so after have NO air... setting four seemed YUMMY!
But now.. oh no no no... Im going to have to slurp around in the clinicians menu and set the pressure to start at six I think... maybe more..
Anyway.. it even says the mask should not be used it lower pressures as more rebreathing will be involved.. Really?? dizzy yet?
I love the way the mask goes on and off, couldnt be simpler.. thanks for the tip on the temple leaks!
I dont think this mask is for everyone, but if you have the weird nose bridge cheekbone thing going on like I do..
must be my Kaskasian (Indian) ancestors! thanks! This might work out to be a great alternative...
Im going to keep using my nasal pillows, and in the spring or when Im totally stuffed up and mouth breathing.. I will use this one, or
go back and forth.. I think this would be a cool halloween mask too! My girlfriend thinks I should paint a feline face on it
I didnt get any pressure going into my eyes so far.. but I only used it a couple hours.. so
MAJOR TOM TO GROUND CONTROL.. WILL REPORT MORE LATER!
MMM what is that blue tinge on my skin?
I got a new mask today! the fitlife (avatar)

If it were me, I would start with 7 or 8. Ultimately, it sounds like it needs to be a lot higher. But go at a pace you are comfortable with.elena88 wrote:oKAY, popping in for an update..

That is very true.elena88 wrote:Anyway.. it even says the mask should not be used it lower pressures as more rebreathing will be involved.. Really?? dizzy yet?
Something tells me that this is not a likely problem with this mask, as both sides of your eyeballs are effectively at the same pressure.elena88 wrote:I didnt get any pressure going into my eyes so far.. but I only used it a couple hours.. so

navi update!
I tried the avatar mask again last night... changed the pressure to start at six, that wasnt enough.. OMG, you really do suffocate in those
big masks! then tried eight, that was sort of okay, but my pressure is about nine.. so oh well.. for fun we put it on cpap at nine,
and I just took it for a test drive... then I thought I better put it back to apap, so we did that. and changed the start pressure from
four to eight..
so it was eight to twenty... wore for a couple hours.. had the humidty on 3.5 but that fogged up my mask and I had trouble seeing my
iphone.. the climate tubing was working great.. it has a little side plug that fell out the second night..
husband turned up the temp to 85 on the climate hose. OMG, that was way to hot... so I turned it down to seventy.. pretty perfect..
I pressed the big button on the right of the s nine auto for three seconds and it takes about fifteen minutes to warm up my water..
however, the pr system one did this a heck of a lot faster..
So now, I go hit the warm up feature before I get ready for bed..
I still had some rain out in the climate tubing and dumped the water out of it the second hour,I turned the humifier down to 2.5
I slept about an hour, then the temple "farts" started up.. Maybe if I try some sports tape.. I really like how easy this mask is to put on and take off.. its a breeze, and I like how it fits on my face, its pretty comfy.. but I could make improvements.. I would make it go up further on the forehead instead of
half way.. think there would be less temple leaking.. This could be an awesome mask with a bit of redesign... but I think I can get it
to work the way it is..
I did adjust the back strap, good advice there.. but that didnt help so much.. Im still working on it. and will not give up.
This is a good high pressure mask if you can conquer the leaks. I didnt feel a thing when it went up to thirteen..
Also, I think even though I can tighten the straps without discomfort, Im going to put plushy strap covers on them the back and
top of the head straps.. maybe the ones by my neck too... all in pink, female navi.. nice contrast with the blue face!
BYE THE WAY.. i PUT THE plushy covers on my opus 360 headgear, and no leaks, it helped my nose pillows from getting tweeked!
I will wear the avatar mask on nights I can sleep late, because this is going to take some major experimenting..
