My hubby has told me that I've recently started snoring again. I've been using my BiPAP machine for 4-1/2 years. (I use either my Swift LT or Swift FX.) Has anyone else had this happen? I'm going to call my doctor tomorrow to see if he can request another sleep study for me. At least the good news for me is that I have been 100% compliant in the last 4-1/2 years using my BiPAP machine, so a sleep study NOW would be less of a guessing game for the results (compared to a new person who doesn't sleep much during their study).
Any suggestions, comments, etc., would definitely be welcome.
Thanks!
Kimberly
PS. I asked him if I was snoring through my mouth or my nose. He said he wasn't sure because I'm facing away from him. He did say that I didn't have any air escaping through my mouth, no air tunnel effect. (I've also mastered the technique of being able to talk normally while wearing my Swift - I can "seal off" the nasal passage somehow.
4-1/2 years of CPAP and I've started snoring again.

This happened to me last summer. I had just had a sleep study, so I was completely baffled. However, my equipment was very old and a new machine stopped the noise.

Your need for pressure sometimes changes over time, or your machine is no longer putting out the same flow/pressure as it did when it was new. You could get it checked out at your DME. Usually if you start snoring it means you need more pressure. A CPAP retitration would be a good idea.

Big Daddy, Let me say I like many of your posts.
