How are they different and which is better?
For example,which is quieter and comfortable?
What's special about Respironics?
I hear that more people would usd CPAP of Devillbiss. Really?
I have been using Devillbiss 9054D for 3 consecutive years and now it is break down.so I hope next CPAP has good quality.

Most of the people here seem to be using either ResMed or Respritronics. Stay far away from the Escape machines because they do not collect data.
If I had to chose out of the ones you listed I would take the autoset because it can be run as a cpap or apap. However, the elite would be a good too.

Respironics is the leading manufacturer of PAP devices in the USA. Between Respironics and Resmed, the two hold about 80% of the USA market for PAP devices.

In order of capability:
Resmed S8 Escape and S8 Escape II are straight CPAPs that provide excellent therapy BUT are capable of only compliance data. The S8 Escape is a 2006 model and the S8 Escape II is a 2008 model.
The Resmed S8 Elite II is a fully data capable straight CPAP w//EPR (expiration pressure relief).
The Resmed S8 AutoSet II is a fully data capable APAP (a CPAP that can also be used in auto titrating mode) w/EPR in either mode.

The Resmeds excel in ease of access to and amount of data available via the LED screen. They tend to be very sturdy, quiet devices.

DeVilbiss just recently introduced a fully data capable CPAP and APAP. They have the Ramp feature but they have no form of expiration pressure relief.
