Here in Aust we are celebrating the return of a 16-year old slip of a girl who spent 7months (210 days) at sea *non-stop* as she sailed around the world. Until yesterday when she did an official sailing into Sydney harbor, most of us hadn't really realized the extent of her effort. I imagined she would be calling into ports along the way but the surprise was she did it non-stop.

Jessica's return has turned into a national celebration with 100s (some claim over a 1000) yachts in the harbor to welcome her. 10,000s of people turned up at the opera house for the welcome. The Prime minister of Aust & Premier of the state were there at the Sydney opera house to meet her. It got live coverage on several TV stations & she is on TV now doing an interview.

She is the same age as one of my own grandaughters & I am just amazed at Jessica's guts in taking on such a challenge. She is just a little girl !!!
This was the moment after she stepped back onto dry land & had a big hug from Mom Dad & Brother. This was at the Sydney Opera house pier.

Enjoy as it is such a lovely story in a sometimes cynical world.
