You have a lot of things going on, and I am sure that this forum can help with the sleep apnea therapy when you get a machine. (and perhaps a few other things). When you do, don't forget to include the details in your profile (in text preferably).

Read as much as you can before you have to get a machine, so that you know what is going on.

I don't know really - it would be interesting to find out, but I guess it wouldn't change much, realistically - I've never worried too much about the reason, although usually I like to nut things out & analyse. Originally I presumed that it was being overweight, which I'm sure doesn't help, but through this forum have come to realise there's contributing factors to it than that, and that the weight could be a result of the apnea, not the other way around.

I never put the two together before, but the females in my family often choke (not to death!) on something, or swallow the wrong way. Thanks for the insight & making the connection for me!

I always thought my osa was because of my wife. She kept pushing me when i was sleeping and snoring so loud she couldnt sleep.

These days we are both sleeping soundly .
