My daughter complained about my horrible snoring whenever we shared a room while travelling. I have slept alone for 20 years since her dad left. So, I was tested-severe sleep apnea. I use the nasal pillow mask, and can tell when there are leaks by the feel and sound of the air. I think I am doing fine. This past weekend we shared a room for the first time since I became a hose head (for my son's wedding in Chicago-yay!!). She said the sound of the seal breaking was almost worse than the snoring. I taped my mouth shut and I don't think the seal broke-if I wake up and everything is fine-could it have broken and fixed itself?? I will take the mask off, and then turn off the machine-maybe that was what she was hearing?? She is so darn critical-I'm thinking it's more her problem than mine!! Kids! Any feedback?

which machine?
which mask?
you might need better equipment / mask to be able to suitably monitor your treatment so next time there won't be a problem

machine/hoses, etc. Check your equipment before you switch off the light. To have a room mate is not too bad.
This way she/he can inform you if your therapy is working well or not. Sometimes they hear leaks before it wakes you!
Keep on with this therapy - you WILL succeed. Welcome to the Forum, Katie!
