Chris,

I'm glad you are working to get help.

Where are you located and what type of machine does your Doctor feel you need?

There are organizations out there that provide this help and also very generous users that may have a machine to spare.

Sounds as though you need to get one ASAP.
Sincerely,
wading thru the muck of the sleep study/DME/Insurance money pit!

You might want to ask a local church or civic organization. Ask as many places as you can. You never know when a fellow apnea patient in your town will hear about you and might have an extra machine or knows how to get one donated to you. Ask respiratory techs at the hospital, sleep clinic, DME - techs might be more aware of donation possibilities than the doctor himself is. Talk about it to as many people as possible. Perhaps Mrs. Smith down the street has a friend whose second cousin's husband refused to use cpap and has one sitting in a closet just a mile from you. Ask everyone!
