Rainout Issues with Low HH settings ?

Post by DannyPh » Thu Apr 22, 2010 10:06 am

I have been on Cpap almost three years now and have only had raiinout Issues three or Four times in the Period. Two Times I got a pretty good wetness and the other two times the condensation was only very minimal with Just a few drops falling on my Face, The two times that the Rainout was bad I had the HH set on three and the last two times ( Both this past week ) I had the HH set on One. My Sleeping tempature was set on 72. Could this connection be from the Sleeping Tempature being too warm with the HH settings I am using ? The last couple Rainout Issues occured in the early Morning Hours but like I said it was only Minimal Rainout with just a few drops of Condensation in the Mask. I guess if the Rainout Issues continues I will have to Invest in a Hose cover to see if I can stop the Rainout Issues. Any and all suggestions will be Greatly Appreciated. Thank you.

This is known "feature" of the M Series humidifier, I keep mine set to two but I use a reptile heater and a fleece hose cover to prevent rainout. I would recommend that you try a hose cover and see if that helps.
