Headrest Nasal Pillow - Question on size?

Post by Maple Leaf » Mon Apr 19, 2010 4:26 pm

Hi all, I'm thinking of giving the pillow mask another go and have decided to try the Headrest. I used a large pillow for the Swift fx. Does anyone know if the Headrest large pillow will be big enough, or, will I require the XL?
Thanks, Rick

Hey Rich. i have never fit a headrest on anyone or seen it for that matter . Let me know how it goes. always looking for good alternative nasal pillow masks for my patients.. Have you tried an opus 360? Fits upward angle noses pretty well. good luck steve

Sorry that I can't answer your question, Maple Leaf. I use (and love) the Headrest, but I don't know how pillow size compares to the Swift FX because I've never used that one. I use the Opus 360 and that works well for me too.

I use the XL Nasal Seal.

fwiw - the mask does NOT come with XL, it has to be ordered separately.

.
I took a MEDIUM size in both Respironics Comfort Lite 2 & Swift LT pillows; and a SMALL in Zest Nasal Mask. With the AEIOMED Headrest, the LARGE fit best with fewest leaks.

The mask comes with two seals: a MED & a LARGE. You will have the opportunity to try the LARGE, and then order the X-LARGE if needed.

I have been using Headrest for about 2 years now and, have recently tried the Swift FX. For both interfaces, I use the medium size pillows. To me, they are a 1:1 comparison.

Good luck with this!

Thanks everyone for your input. I will give the large pillow a try first and if need be, order the XL later.

Thanks again,
Rick
